A Climate A(wake)ening: Responding to the 2018 IPCC Report

For a number of years, climate experts and prognosticators have been working with the idea that a 2 degree Celsius increase in global temperature above pre-industrial levels should be avoided at all costs given the negative impacts on both human communities and the overall environment. The October 2018 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Report now suggests that the increase should be no more than 1.5 degrees Celsius — and that we had better act quickly if we hope to avoid it. Join community members — from Salve Regina and beyond — to think about how we might respond to this latest climate change report.
